Arthur was born October 6, 1942, in Big Sandy, Montana to Arthur Herbert and Kamellia Hildora (Olsen) Stone. He was raised and attended schools in Big Sandy. He worked as a farm laborer for many different people in the area. He went to work in the Sawmills in Libby and Columbia Falls, Montana. It was there he met Sherri Benda, the couple married on September 17, 1966, and together they had a son, Wayne. Art was so proud to have a son. The couple later divorced but remained friends. Art moved out to Bloomington, Minnesota where he had various jobs to make a living. His favorite job was working for a baking company who provided baked goods for the local bakeries around the city.  After his son Wayne was killed in a motor vehicle accident. Art decided to move back home to Loma in 2003, where he purchased a plot of land to call his own with a garage and a hay field to keep him busy. Art would always answer his phone with "Howdy" and his favorite saying was "Oh Boy".

Art enjoyed baking and giving it to others for them to enjoy. His Chokecherry Syrup, homemade ground sausage, turnovers and his cinnamon rolls were welcomed by many family members and friends over the years. He enjoyed being outdoors where he would work on his farm, repurpose items in his shop and perform his own mechanical work on his vehicles, old tractors and other equipment. He always enjoyed helping out the neighborhood children, fixing their bikes, repairing a flat tire or creating a project with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Wayne, older sister Bertha Mina Micou, brother-in -law Ross Held.

Arthur is survived by his two sisters; Doris Inez Held and Alice Mae (Richard) Buck. Several wonderful nieces, nephews and many friends.
