Barbara Rose
Saville
September 7, 1948 – July 22, 2022
Barbara R. Saville, 73, died July 22,2022 at the Missouri River Medical Center. Born September 7 th , 1948, in Great Falls Montana to Frederic J. Romig Sr. and Anna Burckard. She graduated from CMR high school. She married Ronald J. Saville on November 29, 1969. They moved to Fort Benton Montana. She worked at the Missouri River Medical Center as a CNA for many years until she retired. Barbara and Ron raised three children: Matthew, Beverly, and Connie. Barb and Ron enjoyed traveling together. Some of their highlights were their trip to Graceland because Barb was an Elvis fan, the Grand Ole Opry and Glacier Park. They traveled the PBR circuit and Barb was a huge "JB Mooney" fan and he happened to win the PBR while they were in Vegas! The couple enjoyed traveling to Great Falls to watch the Voyagers play ball. In her spare time Barb enjoyed latch hook, crocheting, and working puzzles. She was a devoted wife, partner and friend to her husband, Ron, and they enjoyed many years together almost making it to the 50 year mark in marriage.
The girls, Connie, and Beverly, remember their mom being the "mom that taught them all they know", from sewing, cooking, saving money and their excellent work ethic. Barb never got mad at the kids when they would steal all her blankets and her clothes pins to build a blanket fort outside or when they would make dirt paths throughout her flower beds for their toy cars. Barb would always make sure the kids were taken care of and that they enjoyed their summer at the Fort Benton pool. She handmade the girl's barbie doll clothes and allowed the kids to be kids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Saville in 2017and son Matthew J. Saville in 2018.
She is survived by her two daughters Beverly Saville and Connie (Allan) Shores all of Kansas City and four grandchildren: Aaliya, Corbin, Hailey and Kiley.
