Bernadine Fairbanks passed away on December 24, 2020 after a short battle with illness.  Bernadine was born on September 6, 1927 to Waldo and Nina Painter.  She is survived by her daughter Lois, a sister Rita, five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years Charles Fairbanks, daughter Charlene, and three sons, Frank, Clinton, and Dwayne.  Bernadine was a lifetime member of the Painter Brothers American Legion Auxiliary Unit 102.  The local Auxiliary Unit is named after Bernadine's brothers Laverne and Dwayne Painter.  She was beloved and will be missed by family, friends and the entire Geraldine community.
