Chris was born November 17, 1998 in Great Falls, MT to Randall and Jill (Shaver) Kerbs. He was a very smart, bright child; making friends easily. He grew up in Fort Benton, attending school there. Chris was the county winner of the 2011 Spelling Bee. Chris' passion was History and wars. He also tried to teach himself the Russian Language. Chris was very inquisitive. He had to take everything apart to see how it worked. His dream was to go into the Air Guard – MANG, to serve his country. He also wanted to take mechanical engineering. He received his GED last April, 2016.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping; anything outdoors. He liked working on "older" vehicles to get them running again. He loved music – especially old country music. Chris liked watching the Discovery/History channel and old westerns on TV. He served as the Libertarian Party Chair for Pondera County. Chris had a very special place in his heart for his grandmother, Doris Shaver.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Melvin Kerbs; his aunt Susie Shaver; and his uncle, Michael Kerbs.
