Darrel J. Clarke, 54 of Frenchtown, MT passed away January 27th, 2024. He was born April 30, 1969 to R.D. and Pat (Clark) Wutschke in Fort Benton, Montana. He grew up in & around the Fort Benton/Loma areas. He attended kindergarten through 6th grade in Fort Benton. During his 7th year of grade school, he transferred to Simms, MT and lived with his Dad. He then decided school wasn't for him, so he sprouted wings and went to Minnesota and lived with a friend. It was there that he worked several jobs as waiter, housekeeper, and an apartment manager to name a few. He missed Montana so much. In 1997, he and a friend, Chuck Greene, landed in Frenchtown to be near his sister Denise Marcussen and niece Jodi (Marcussen) Knoles. He worked as head food server for the 9-Mile house in Alberton, Larry's 6-mile Bar and Grill for a dear friend, Kendra, Frenchies Convenient Store for Joe, then for the Alcan Bar and Grill for 10 years when he was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in January 2024. He dearly loved his employers Tom and Wonna at the Alcan and ran the business when they were on vacation sometimes putting in double shifts or split shifts. Darrel is survived by his mother, Pat Wutschke, brothers Dennis (Josina) Bomgardner, Dean (Chandee) Bomgardner, and sister Denise (Robin) Marcussen, and several nieces and nephews. A birthday party/celebration of Life will be held in Frenchtown, MT on April 27, at the Alcan Bar and grill. No local services will be held.
