Donna Lee Reiner, 66, of Fort Benton, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 due to natural causes. Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Benton Funeral Home. Donna was born on August 2,1950 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and was raised by Lois and Ronald Retan. The family relocated to Great Falls when Donna was young and she attended school there; graduating from Great Falls High in 1968. After graduation Donna found work in many places and eventually settled in Everett, WA; while there she met Rae Reiner in 1977 and the couple married on April 28, 1979.

Donna and Rae traveled the country and called many states home. They farmed for a time in Minnesota, owned a café in Montana, drove transit in Washington and had the opportunity to see most of the United States while driving truck. They settled in Fort Benton over five years ago, to be closer to family.

Donna enjoyed painting, computer games and fishing. Calving season was a love of hers and she liked to help on her sister's farm. But, her true passion was taking care of her kitties, at one time she had twelve that she cared for.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hollis McBee; parents, Ron and Lois Retan; brothers, Athur Crozier, Richard Retan, Rodger McBee, Dennis Retan and Kenneth McBee; mother-in-law, Kathleen Reiner; and father-in-law, Carl Reiner.

Donna is survived by her husband, Rae Reiner of Fort Benton; sisters, Merlanne Shelly of Rexford, Coleen (Lowell) Johnson of Gildford, and Patricia Cox of Malta; brother, Gene (Elizabeth) McBee of AZ; nieces, Ronda (Paolo) Stracqualursi of Everett, WA and Krysty (Scott) Abbott of Marysville, WA.
