Dorothy was born August 10, 1933, in Great Falls, Montana to George and Helen (Kauffmann) Harvey. She attended school in Geraldine and graduated High School. She met James W. Clark and the couple married November 21, 1950, in Geraldine. The couple made their home in Geraldine and farmed in Graceville. Dorothy worked at First National Bank of Geraldine and kept books for several businesses. They owned and operated Clark Implement from 1963 – 1967 where they sold Minneapolis – Moline equipment. Dorothy was the head parts woman for the Implement dealership and people relied on her vast knowledge.  After selling the implement dealership Dorothy kept busy driving the school bus for Geraldine and did crop adjustments in the area. In 1988 the couple left Geraldine and moved to Fort Benton. Dorothy went to work at the Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Fort Benton, a job which she excelled at and valued the farmers in the area. She retired from the FSA in 1997.

She and JW enjoyed being members of the Good Sam's Club in their retirement years. They spent many winters in Yuma, where they made many lifelong friends. They enjoyed all the gatherings and card games. After JW passed Dorothy moved into Front Range Assisted Living where she shared her love of puzzles with the other residents. She was the head of the puzzle group at Front Range and many completed puzzles were hanging on the wall there. Dorothy was an active person, so slowing down was never an option. She always had many activities planned that kept her going. Her strong will helped her throughout her life in never giving up.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James W. Clark in 2018; her oldest son, James Clark; and youngest son, Paul Clark; her brother, Robert Harvey; and her great - grandson, Brandon Clark.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Donald (Jackie) Clark of Helena, Montana; Bonnie Jacobsen of Nampa, Idaho; and Bruce (Eileen) Clark of Great Falls, Montana; daughter-in-law, Brenda Clark of Helena, Montana; brother, Chuck (Susan) Harvey of Dillon, Montana; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
