Obituary

Dorothy E. Rosenberg, 90, of Geraldine, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Dorothy passed away peacefully at Peace Hospice in Great Falls, near the land that she loved.

Dorothy E. Suek was born to Henry and Caroline Suek on September 8, 1930. Dorothy attended school in Power. After school she attended Business School in Great Falls. She worked at the Pioneer Dairy for several years and became a big fan of milk and ice cream. She later met her husband, Don. He entered into the service in 1951 and served in Korea and returned back home in 1953.

Dorothy married Don Rosenberg a wheat farmer and US Army Veteran from Geraldine in September 1954. They were married 63 years. She cooked meals for harvest crews, however she preferred to drive the combine, grain trucks, and ran the tractor whenever she could. She and Don had two daughters, Dawn and Kim who began their lives on the farm.

Dorothy worked hard and loved the Graceville area. Because of her love for this part of the county, Dorothy and her husband expanded their farming practice.  She loved music and played the piano, organ, accordion and sang. Dorothy loved concerts, Broadway shows that combined singing and dancing, and dining out with her family. She also enjoyed oil painting, in particular the Graceville area landscape. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the VFW Auxiliary and the Pastime Club in Geraldine.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Don Rosenberg, brothers Herbert (Margaret) Suek, and Lawrence Suek.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, Gene Suek (Joy); daughters, Dawn Midtbo (Brian) and Kim Rosenberg; two grandchildren, Adonica and Alexa Midtbo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Sincere thank you to friends and family that helped Kim and Dawn throughout the past years.

Due to the pandemic only private family services will be held. Any memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's honor to Geraldine Ambulance or Geraldine Fire Department.  Please visit Dorothy's online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for her family at www.bentonfh.com.
