Elvin Lloyd Roberts, 89, passed away in Fort Benton, Montana at his residence at the Front Range Assisted Living. Per his request cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later time.
Elvin was born August 29, 1936, in Holly, Colorado to Floyd and Calista (Orton) Roberts. He was raised and educated in Karval, Colorado where he lived and worked on the family farm/ranch operation with his parents and 5 siblings. He completed the 10th grade and then enlisted in the United States Army October 22, 1959, and was honorably discharged in 1961. He moved to Montana settling in Loma Montana where he purchased his home. He went to work for Ronald Upham out of Loma for a few years and then went to work for the Chouteau County District 1 Road Department and retired in 2000. Elvin was active in the community of Loma and looked forward to playing in the Old Farts Dart League and his Rifle League to have a few laughs with the guys. He looked forward to the fall when he could go on his Elk hunting trips and also enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Calista Roberts. Siblings, Allen Roberts, Wanda Cromwell, and Darline Merwin.
Elvin is survived by two sisters; Alta May Harris, Nevella Jean Meyer and one brother, Daryll Roberts.
