Floyd was born June 14, 1943 in Shelby, Montana to Stanley W. and Lillian ( Horgus) Danbrook. He was raised in the Sweet Grass Hills and attended school there through the sixth grade. He moved with his family in 1952 to the Geraldine area where they purchased a farm. Floyd continued school in Geraldine and graduated as a Geraldine Tiger in 1962. He married his high school sweetheart on February 25, 1963, Helen Meyer and the couple made their home on the Danbrook farm where he farmed with his father. Together they began their family and had two sons: Troy and Lloyd to carry on the family name. Their lives were busy following the children in  all of their sporting activities and working on the farm. Being the strong-willed person that he was; the family described his determination as "one way Floyd's way". He wore many hats; those of a farmer, rancher, doctor, veterinarian, husband, father, grandfather and politician. He received the Best Young Farmer Award in 1976 -1977 and served as the President of the Volunteer Fire Department in Geraldine for many years and was a member of the Geraldine Community Church. His hobbies and interests were farming, collecting old tractors and cars. He loved to dicker with people on selling his cars, but he never did part with any. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, occasionally fishing but most of all loved his lake house at Holter. There he developed the property into a beautifully landscaped yard with all of his colorful flowers that he tended to. He and Helen enjoyed traveling together and have many great memories of all the trips and adventures they had.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Robert Danbrook.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Helen Danbrook. His two sons: Troy ( Keith) and Lloyd (Jolene) Danbrook. Five Grandchildren: Zac, Chais, Jake, Bailey and Kylie. One great grandson Ryatt and another great grandbaby on the way. Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends.
