Frank Jesse Jerrel, 66, passed away Monday June 5th at his home in Loma Montana. Cremation has taken place and private memorial service will be held at Missoula Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. Frank was born July 17th, 1950 in Missoula Montana to Dallas and Maryann (Race) Jerrel. He was raised in Arlee, Montana where he attended school and graduated High School in 1969. He attended Vo-tech in Missoula, Montana where he received his Heavy Equipment Certificate. He enlisted in the United States Army in April 1970. Directly after completing Basic Training he volunteered for service in Vietnam where he was wounded in a paratrooping accident, later receiving a purple heart for the heroic service for his country. He then went to work as a heavy equipment operator for the forest service, leaving after a knee injury. He discovered the world of 18 wheelers, hauling logs, grain and fertilizer. He stayed in the trucking business until his death receiving his CDL only one week before the Lord called him home.
He moved from Fort Benton to Loma in 1996. Soon after moving to Loma he met his longtime girlfriend Sherri Cooke. They spent their time together camping, fishing and traveling whenever they had the chance. His love for trucking led to him starting his own trucking business 'Just Trucking'. After being together numerous years he and Sherri finally tied the knot shortly before Frank's passing.
He is survived by his wife Sherri Jerrel. His children: daughter Crystal (Larry) Geyer, son Pete Jerrel, his inherited daughter Chelie (Jon) Wellcome, daughter Rachel (Colby) Baumgarn, and his daughter Sarah (Bob) Shaw, 3 granddaughters and 6 grandsons. His three sisters Margaret (Jon) Hall, Maxine Jerrel, Minnie (Steve) Clark and brother Jack (Rae) Jerrel,
He was preceded in Death by his parents Dallas & Maryann Jerrel, the mother of his four children Suzanne Jerrel and his step son Wayne Stone.
