Obituary

Helen Elizabeth Babcock was born 5/25/1948 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Roy and Isabel Babcock as youngest of 5.  Helen moved many times in her life in Wisconsin, Montana, Washington and Idaho.  Helen graduated from Columbia Falls in 1967. She married and divorced, having 2 daughters with her ex-husband.

Helen worked a couple decades as a floral designer in Anaconda and Butte.  Later in life she went back to school to receive her degrees ending in a master's in social work.  She continued on to work with children and adults with special needs in Montana, Washington, and Idaho.  She worked with special needs at Montana Social Development Center in Butte then later working with Idaho Crisis Prevention Team. Helen felt lead in her life to help with those who have challenges.  She was active volunteer in church, Girl Scouts and Eastern Star.  She was a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years and held many positions there.

Helen enjoyed outdoors especially Glacier Park, Yellowstone, Oregon Coast, Michigan, Wisconsin and traveling when possible.  She spent many hours doing family genealogy, quilting, crafting, puzzles and games.  But most important she was an avid Green Bay Packer fan!

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, sibling Theda McLaren and grandson Gabriel Moore.  Daughters Jennifer Ware of Butte and Roberta Young (Mark) and Granddaughter Jazmine Winn of Cutbank survive her; siblings John (Kathy) Babcock of Kalispell, Bert (Karen) Babcock of Denmark, WI; Susan Perrine of Columbia Falls.   Nieces and Nephews: Pamela Babcock and Paul (Michelle) Babcock, Kimberly (Mike)Somers, James (Susan) Babcock, Kalli Babcock, David (Trish) McLaren.  Cousins: Carol (Norman) and Shawn Savage.

A service was held at Cutbank Community Bible Church on 11/30/2024 at 11am.  Memorials may be made to SIDS or your place of choice.
