Helen Jordan O'Hara passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Benefis Missouri River Medical Center, she was 96 years old. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Church with her burial to follow at the Riverside Cemetery,  in Fort Benton. Helen was born in Mott, North Dakota on June 21, 1928, to Peter and Julianna Jordan. After a few years as a telephone operator, she traveled west to Fort Benton to help her brother Joe Jordan with his young family. It was there she met the love of her life Bill O'Hara. Ironically Bill's mother and father lived next door to the Jordans.

They were married in 1950 and raised six children: Dennis, Steve, Jim, Jerry, Carolyn and Mark on the family farm. Helen and Bill moved to Fort Benton in the late 70's. Helen loved visiting with friends over coffee. Helen and Bill also enjoyed traveling in their golden years. Her kindness and positive outlook were her trademarks. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her final 14 years were spent at the Benefis Missouri River Medical Center with the staff's excellent loving care, it became her home.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry and husband Bill.

Helen is survived by her children: Dennis O'Hara of Fort Benton, Steve O'Hara of Rancho Mirage, CA, Jim O'Hara of Fort Benton, Carolyn O'Hara of Fort Benton, Mark O'Hara of Seattle, WA. Four grandchildren, Five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
