Izeta (Will) McGowan passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the age of 100. Her funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Benton, Montana with Father Mohan officiating. Her graveside service and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Izeta's honor may be made to the Highwood Scholarship P.O. Izeta was born May 2, 1918 to John and Edith (Jones) Will in Elgin, North Dakota. She grew up and graduated from High School in North Dakota. She then moved to Sheridan, Montana where she attended Western Montana College and earned a two-year lifetime teaching certificate. In 1942 she was offered a job in Highwood, Montana. While there she met Robert McGowan and they were married, June 10, 1944 in Laurin, Montana. She spent her life raising her three children at the ranch on Highwood Creek.

In 2006 she moved to the retirement home in Conrad and then moved to the Teton County Nursing Home in Chouteau. On her 98 ^th birthday she transferred to the Missouri River Medical Center in Fort Benton.

Izeta was active in the community as a member of the Altar Society, Highwood Woman's Club, Youth Board, a 4-H Leader and enjoyed the Highwood Senior Center, along with playing bridge with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert McGowan in 1999. Her parents and her brother Warren Will.

Izeta is survived by her children Robin (Larry) Stoltz of Valier; John (Debbie West) McGowan of Billings; Thomas (Jade) McGowan of Las Vegas, NV. Her 99 year old sister Wanda Kissinger of Modesto, CA. Grandchildren: Trent (Holly) Stoltz, Kelly (Dave) Crowder, Gwen Stoltz, Craig Stoltz, Molly (Jeff) Johnson, Casey (Steffanie) McGowan, Courtnie (Pete) Shatwell, Shannon (Will) Ralph, and Scott McGowan. 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and one nephew.
