Obituary

James Norman Trevithick passed away August 11, 2016, at home in Ulm, Montana.  Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., and f uneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the AG Center in Fort Benton, with burial following in the Geraldine Cemetery.  Benton Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.  Please visit James' online memorial page and leave a message of condolence for his family at www.hollandbonine.com.

He was born July 28, 1932, in Fort Benton, Montana, to Leonard and Ellen (Nelson) Trevithick.  He went to school in Geraldine and then to vo-tech in Helena, before returning to the family farm.  James married Alice Jean Stipe at Moiese, Montana, on October 29, 1953.  They had seven children, Ellen Marie (Dale) Stephens, Paul (Melody), Anita, Mary (Paul) Richey, Joyce, Ken (Beke) and Lola. James and Alice moved to Ulm in the fall of 2013.

James was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Eugenia, Eileen and Gloria; son Paul; son-in-law, Paul Richey; and two grandchildren, Ryan Richey and Grace Trevithick.

He is survived by sisters Clara DenHerder of Boise, Idaho, and Norma Hawkins of Gilbert, Arizona; brother-in-law Andy Johnson of Plentywood; six children; fifteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.
