James "JW" Clark, 90, of Fort Benton, Montana, passed away at home in Fort Benton, Montana on July 30, 2018, after a battle with cancer. Viewing will be from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Benton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 6th, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Geraldine, Montana with burial in the Geraldine Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations in Jim's name be made to the Chouteau County Cancer Fund, Peace Hospice, or a charity of your choice. Jim was born April 30, 1928, in Fort Benton, Montana, the son of James and Frances Clark, and was raised on the family farm in Graceville. He attended school in Graceville and Geraldine. He married Dorothy Harvey of Geraldine on November 21, 1950, in Geraldine. They lived and farmed in the Graceville area for many years. Jim was a jack of all trades and master of none. Jim and Dorothy owned and operated Clark Implement from 1963-1967 where they sold Minneapolis-Moline equipment and Graham-Hoeme plows and they also sold the first "Spray Coupe" in Chouteau County. He sprayed weeds for farmers around the area. In 1970 Jim went to work for the Chouteau County Road Department in Geraldine. He then hauled grain locally until 1990. He enjoyed many weekends camping, fishing, hunting and later they enjoyed spending many winters in Yuma AZ.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Fort Benton and five children: James of Fort Benton; Donald (Jackie) of Helena; Bonnie Jacobsen of Nampa, Idaho; Bruce (Eileen) of Great Falls; and Paul (Brenda) of Geraldine; sisters Pat Wutsche of Loma and Jo Ann Clark of Geraldine; brother Richard Clark of Geraldine; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Cora Lee Harvey, brother-in-law Chuck Harvey and numerous nieces and nephews.
