June Anderson, 97, passed away on January 12, 2021 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Cremation has taken place and due to Covid, a graveside service will be held in June. Memorial donations in June's name may be made to Peace Hospice of Montana, P.O. Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59405, Front Range Assisted Living, 2511 Front, Fort Benton, MT 59442 or Fort Benton Memorial Ambulance, P.O. Box 653, Fort Benton, MT. June was born June 20, 1923 in Great Falls, MT to George and Nellie (Libby) Deardorff. She was the youngest of seven children. June attended school in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High in 1941.
On January 24, 1942 she married the love of her life, Bill Anderson. They were married for 62 years before his passing in 2005. June was employed in Fort Benton by Larson's Pharmacy, Benton Drive- In and Montana Power Company before retiring to become snowbirds. They loved their time in Bullhead City, AZ where they spent their time traveling, golfing, and gambling. When they were unable to continue their snowbird lifestyle, they came back to their permanent home in Fort Benton where she resided until her death. Family was very important to June. She loved getting together with everyone. She was an avid reader and you could always find her doing a word search puzzle. She enjoyed crocheting until her eyesight failed. She was a long-time member of Bethany Chapter of Eastern Star in Fort Benton.
June was preceded in death by her husband; parents; six siblings; and two sons-in-law.
Surviving June are her daughters, Donna Keller, Linda Sarsgard, and Billie (Tim) Grossman. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandsons: Derek (Kristine) Strong and children Nate and Hannah; Jeannie (John) Bolnick and children Ashley and Ryan (Jessica) and son Bram; Melissa (Jim) LaRocco and children Alexa (Matt) Martin and Austin; Travis (Stephanie) Grossman and children Mikkel and Treyton; Jolene (Lloyd) Danbrook and children Jake (Molly) Willson, Bailey (Gavin) Bahnmiller and their son Ryatt, Kylie, Chais and Zac; Terri (David) Holden and Karl (Roxanne) Stenberg.
