Lela Albers Hankins, 94, passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the Missouri River Care Center. Here graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Riverside Cemetery with Father Mo officiating. Memorial contributions in Lela's honor may be made to a memorial of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Benton Funeral Home. Lela was born May 25, 1923 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She lived in Great Falls, Montana for 18 years. She married Herb Albers and the couple lived on their Marias River Ranch for many years before retiring to Fort Benton. Herb and Lela were married for 57 years. She later married Ewell Hankins and they were married for 7 years.

Lela loved to travel. She saw most of the United States. She traveled to Hawaii twice, traveled the Panama Canal, and visited most of Canada. Her longest trip was to Alaska which was for six weeks.

Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, ceramics and painting pictures.

Lela is survived by the Albers family, Hankins family and her close, special friend Dusty Kuehner.
