Lorraine Ann
Fultz
September 15, 1950 – February 19, 2022
Our sassy and feisty sister, Lorraine Ann Fultz, passed away following a four-year bout with cancer. We want to inform everyone she was the most adamant and devoted Griz Fan we know. And also, Lebron James lost a major admirer February 19, 2022.
Lorraine, 71 years-old, was born in Great Falls on September 15, 1950 to Thelma Jean Fultz and Waden Coy Fultz Jr. She was the second of six children born to the family of Waden and Thelma. The six-pack unit consisted of three boys and three girls.
She attended school in Fort Benton, graduating from Fort Benton High School in 1969. Lorraine's Fort Benton schooling was enhanced by two years of elementary school in Wagin, West Australia, the hometown of her mother, Thelma. While living in West Australia the family greatly enjoyed the opportunity to meet Australian grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
After high school Lorraine attended Northern Montana College in Havre. She earned a cosmetology degree from NMC and opened her own beauty salon in Fort Benton-- The Sassy Scissors.
She then became owner-operator of The Syndicut Beauty Salon in husband Joe Warren's hometown of Hysham, MT. When they divorced Lorraine returned to Central Montana and continued to work in the beauty salon industry.
Our fun-loving sister proudly spent several years helping Cindy at the Overland Bar. Most recently she helped in many ways as a "resource" at Sunrise Bluffs in Fort Benton. As a resident of the Bluffs she cooked, waitressed, scheduled and served as general confidant, etc.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Waden and Thelma Fultz; brother, Robert Fultz; and ex-husband, Joe Warren. Survivors include brothers, George (Lorrie) Fultz and Ted (Donita) Fultz; sisters, Lynn (Roger) Cook and Lana (Bob) Claassen; sister-in-law, Linda Fultz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We are especially pleased to point out that Lorraine was fortunate to have a large number of treasured friends (many being lifelong) in the area.
Thanks to the many caring friends, caretakers, and supporters of our sister Lorraine. We wish to specifically acknowledge the wonderful celebration -of-life functions that were held at the Pour House Saloon (organized by Diane Jones) and the Palace Bar (organized by Naldean Nash).
Memorials in Lorraine's name may be directed to Chouteau County Cancer Support Group or the Sletten Cancer Institute of Great Falls.
