Obituary

Margaret G. Redant O'Hara, 95, died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Missouri River Medical Center in Fort Benton.

Christian Vigil Service will be held Sunday, July 24, at 7pm; Funeral Mass will be held Monday July 25, at 11 am all at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Benton.    Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton. Memorials may be made in Margaret's name to Choteau County Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 91, Fort Benton.  Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Benton Funeral Home.

Margaret was born in Everett, WA in 1920 to Prosper and Cardula (VanDeEckout) Redant.  She attended school in Everett, later moving to the family ranch on Teton River in 1936, where she later met Vincent O'Hara.  They were married December 1, 1941 and farmed in the Goosebill area.  Later the couple moved to Fort Benton in 1952 and retired from farming in 1976.  In 2000 they again relocated to Great Falls, where Margaret remained until 2014 when she moved to Missouri River Medical Center.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Bill) Szudera, of Havre, Mary Louise (John) McShane, of Lolo, and Michael (Diana) O'Hara, of Fort Benton; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; and daughter, Elise.
