"Toots" married Jim Price in Lakota in 1955. "Toots" was proud of being the first secretary of the sheriff's office in Lakota. Jim and "Toots" were blessed with five children. In 1957 the Army moved the family to San Pedro, California and stayed there until 1961 when they moved to the family farm in Tolna, North Dakota. In 1972 the family moved to Valley City, North Dakota where "Toots" worked for the Valley City Public School system showing her love for kids. In 1979 the family moved to Fort Benton, Montana where "Toots" started her career in bartending at the Overland Bar. In 1984 "Toots" married Richard Heydon and they farmed north of Fort Benton. After selling the farm "Toots" and Rich purchased the Overland Bar. After they sold the bar "Toots" continued working at the bar. She accomplished that mission and topped it off by being the passenger in the #18 M&M hauler for the parade of NASCAR haulers down Las Vegas Boulevard with her son Jamie behind the wheel.
"Toots" and her side kick Treva, who rarely missed any ball games at the school to cheer on the Fort Benton Longhorns and never missed a bingo game at the Golden Age Center or at the Clubhouse. They took the PT Cruiser to get their lottery tickets every Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
