Obituary

Miriam Elizabeth Doles Bramlette went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2021 due to natural causes.

Miriam was born March 30, 1939 in Havre, Montana to Emmett and Clara Mae (Vielleux) Doles.  She was the second of four children and grew up in Austin, Texas.  She graduated from McCullam High School in 1957 and attended the University of Texas.  From her adolescence, Miriam had a group of amazing women that she remained close to her entire life.

During a Christmas vacation to Montana, Miriam met Bruce.  After a short courtship, they fell in love and got married on July 23, 1971 in Fort Benton, Montana.  They lived on the ranch between Fort Benton and Highwood and raised their three girls; Elaine, Karen, and Robyn.

Miriam was highly involved in local community activities including volunteering for schools, Highwood Women's Club, Civ-Aires (military wives and civilian organization), and the Republican party.  She was known for her exceptional cooking skills, always greeting anyone she knew with a warm smile, a hug, and conversation.  Family was everything to her and was always there for her children, grands, and greats.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Brigadier General (retired) Bruce Glen Bramlette; daughters, Miriam Elaine Fox, Karen Jo (Kevin) Shaw, and Robyn Elizabeth (Kipp) Lewis; and sisters, Janet Brown and Linda Hawkins.  Miriam is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kaylee, Bryant, Lindsey, Macee, Riley, Kelly Jo, Addyson, Ellyn, and Malyn; six great-grandchildren, Jediah, Emily Jo, Elliana Jo, Torrance, Rowan, and Braxten.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gerry Doles.

A celebration of Miriam's life will be held at the Meadowlark Country Club in Great Falls, Montana on April 2, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Memorial donations in Miriam's honor may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or per the doner's choice.
