In loving memory of a loving brother, uncle, and friend to many. Peter (Pete) Adam Tadej, 64, passed away at his residence on June 1, 2021, due to natural causes. Cremation has taken place and his graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Riverside Cemetery. Please bring your own chairs. Memorial donations in Pete's honor may be made to the First Christian Church, Community Bible Church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or to the Fort Benton Longhorn Football or Wrestling Program. Pete was born to Carl and Anne (Susralski) Tadej on July 18, 1956. He was the 5th of nine children. He was raised in Chouteau County. Pete started his life on the family farm. He attended school in Geraldine for four years. At that time, the family moved to Fort Benton. He continued his schooling in Fort Benton, playing football and wrestling in his high school years.
His father owned and operated an electrical business and an apartment building. You could always find Pete helping his father, learning first-hand the electrical trade. After graduation Pete moved to Helena to help Carl with his electrical business. Pete moved on to work for several electrical contractors before coming back to Fort Benton to start his own business, PTEC (Pete Tadej Electrical Contracting and MRR.
Pete enjoyed Demolition Derbys, and Bump and Run races, in which he won several trophies. He also enjoyed fishing and was best known as a jokester. He loved to make people laugh.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Ed Wills; niece, Terry Abeyta; and nephew Deegan Wills,
He is survived by his siblings; Nancy Wills of Great Falls, Darlene (Dennis) Abeyta of Helena, Carl Tadej of Helena, Jim "TJ" Tadej of Mississippi, Henry (Cheryl) Tadej of Great Falls, Ruth Tadej of Helena, Bob Tadej of Fort Benton, and Cathy Thomas of Fort Benton; 20 nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
