Raymond "Tim" Thomas Kalanick, was born on July 5, 1944 in Great Falls Montana to Paul and Hilda Kalanick of Waltham. At the age of four he moved with his family to the Goosebill area. He attended Penzer School and Fort Benton school graduating in 1963. He attended Montana State College in Bozeman for two years when the opportunity to buy into a ranch on the Teton River Northwest of Fort Benton arose.  It remains the family home today.

In 1967 he met and married Diane Kesler and together they raised 4 children, whom he felt was his greatest accomplishment in life and always his first priority.

Tim was a kind, generous and gentle man who knew no enemy or accepted any insults.  His passion was farming, and ranching and his hobby was his work.  He never worked a day in his life because he so enjoyed what he did. Never a speedster but what Tim did was done well.  His family was his treasure to him, and he loved nothing more than telling old stories with them all seated around the table…. preserving history, he felt. Working side by side with his grandkids brought him such immense pride. The family feels privileged to have had Tim as their dad and "papa" who taught them so well by how he lived his life.

Tim is survived by Diane his wife of 55 years, his son Dyke (Brenda) Kalanick; daughters Kyla (Jack) Wright; and Mylo Lane all of Fort Benton and Ryan Beth (Jason) Garman of Gillette, Wy; grandchildren Alex, Cloe, Jackson, Grace, Max, Tim, MyCal, Dani Lou, Tommy and Callie; great grandchildren Aria and Remy.
