Warren Siebenaler passed away peacefully after a short illness Saturday, June 18, 2022 in The Fort Benton Nursing Home at the age of 96. Viewing will be Thursday morning from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. With his funeral mass 1 p.m. Thursday June 23, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Church, with Father Mohan Raj Arockia officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Warren's honor may be made to the Chouteau County Veterans. Warren was born July 17, 1925 in Rushmore, Minnesota to William and Elizabeth (Anglesberg) Siebenaler. As a young man he moved out to Montana with his family settling in the Three Forks area. He enlisted into the United States Army serving in World War II as an Infantry squad leader. He fought in Normandy, France and Rhineland. He was injured in battle and received two Purple Hearts along with three bronze stars. He was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Sargent. He returned to Montana and worked for Monarch Lumber Company. He was transferred to Fort Benton and it was there that he met Florence Breault who was working at the Bank. The couple married and had four children, and were married for 68 years. He worked for Missouri River Lumber Company in Fort Benton until they sold and he transferred to Great Falls Lumber Company retiring in 1985.
Warren was a busy man who was a talented carpenter and made many beautiful pieces for his family and others. His passion was when he had time to work on his model train. He enjoyed working puzzles, and fly fishing. He cared for his wife for many years until she went to the nursing home. He was a compassionate, traditional man who was stuck in his ways.
He was preceded in death by his wife Florence in 2015, his son William "Billy" and daughter Phyllis "Fobe" Perez. Siblings Florence Mau, Genevive Frieling and Lawrence Siebenaler . His parents William and Elizabeth Siebenaler.
Warren is survived by his daughter Mary (Murray) Forster, of Didsbury, Alberta and son Michael (Darlene) Siebenaler of Great Falls. Four grandsons Marcus (Tammy), Michael, Mitchell (Rachel) Forster all of Alberta and Miles (Ema) Forster of Mission, BC. Great grandchildren Desarai (Kier), Cordell, Odin, Freya and Apollo Forster. Sister Julia Stevenson and sister -in-law Martha Siebenaler of Great Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.
